Overview

Choice Limiter 365 is a Google Forms™ Add-on that allows form owners to set response limits on individual answer choices. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.

Data We Access

Choice Limiter 365 requests the following Google OAuth scopes:

• forms.currentonly – to read and update the Google Forms™ form you have open.
• script.container.ui – to display the configuration sidebar inside Google Forms™.
• script.external_request – to communicate with our licensing service to verify your subscription status.
• script.scriptapp – to create and manage time-based triggers that monitor form responses.
• userinfo.email – to identify your Google account for licensing and support purposes.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit the content of your form questions, respondent answers, or any personally identifiable information from your form respondents. All form processing happens within Google's infrastructure via Google Apps Script™.

Subscription Data

If you use a paid plan, we may store your Google account email address solely to validate your subscription. This data is used only for licensing verification and is never sold or shared with third parties.

Data Protection Mechanisms

We take the security of your data seriously and implement the following measures to protect any sensitive information we access or store:

• Encryption in Transit: All communications between the add-on and our licensing service are conducted over HTTPS using TLS (Transport Layer Security), ensuring data is encrypted during transmission.
• Minimal Data Collection: We follow the principle of data minimization. The only personal data we store is your Google account email address, and solely for the purpose of validating your subscription. We do not collect passwords, payment details, or any form respondent data.
• Access Controls: Access to stored subscription data (email addresses) is restricted to authorized personnel only and is protected by authentication and authorization controls on our licensing infrastructure.
• Google Infrastructure Security: All form processing and script execution occurs within Google Apps Script™, which is protected by Google's own enterprise-grade security infrastructure. We do not extract or copy form data outside of Google's environment.
• No Third-Party Data Sharing: Sensitive data (such as your email address) is never sold, rented, or shared with any third-party services, advertisers, or analytics providers.
• Sensitive Scope Handling (userinfo.email): Your Google account email address — accessed via the userinfo.email OAuth scope — is used exclusively for subscription verification. It is stored securely, retained only while your account is active, and deleted upon your request. It is not used for marketing purposes and is never disclosed to third parties.

Data Retention

Subscription and licensing data is retained only as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

Third-Party Services

Choice Limiter 365 operates entirely within Google Workspace™ (Google Apps Script™ and Google Forms™). We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Children's Privacy

Our add-on is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to This Policy
